		<description>Sorry guys, not sure how this one slipped thru the cracks!  With a layer cake if you think the cake itself is too dry don&#039;t think about throwing it away or starting over but rather use a flavoured syrup sprinkled on the cake before you fill it.  Most often I will use a simple syrup and then add whatever flavours I want to compliment the cake.  My Mother in law&#039;s trick is to prick the cake surface with a toothpick so it gets down into the crumb of the cake also.  You can use this on whole cakes as well.  Happy caking!</description>
